A lot of things will change around the housn you don’t have kids living there anymore. Packing up their room and turning it into a home office or a gym or a guest bedroom is going to be an emotional process, I’m sure (even if the emotion is elation). Put it all into storage, all those posters, diaries, clothes and school books will one day be history!! I know that I love looking back through my old things, and laugh at my dress sense (although I blame my mum for that as I was too young to know better!!), reminisce about the games I played with my dolls, or read back through my doodles in my school books. Nothing beats a trip down memory lane.
You and your kids will be so appreciative in years to come when you can show the grandkids the toys and clothes from the ’old days’.
A small storage unit’s an ideal place to store these things for the future . Not cluttering up the home you have managed to reclaim from the kids but somewhere packed away safe and sound. A locker may be all you need for those sentimental things.
I guarantee that one day you will be so glad you kept it and so will your kids.
